The 2026 Color Cube Club CAL

The 2026 Color Cube Club CAL

Join me on a journey throughout 2026 as we crochet blanket squares using the Color Cube Club colorways!

Whether you're a seasoned crocheter or just starting, this project will be a fun way to explore new color combinations and techniques while building a blanket throughout the year. Each month, we'll introduce the new CCC colorway and add the squares to our blankets.

By the end of the year, you'll have a stunning patchwork blanket, rich with memories and colors. Plus, you'll be part of a supportive community, sharing tips, progress, and encouragement. So grab your hooks and get ready!

The Deets:

For this crochet-along, any crochet blanket will do! I personally love the patterns by Nautikrall Crochet and will be picking one of Mallory’s, but feel free to use whatever you'd like!

While yes, this is a crochet-along, if you feel inspired to knit your squares or sections, that is totally fine! I’d rather we enjoy the process and share the joy throughout the year than have a bunch of silly rules.

This CAL will run from January to December 2026, and the only ‘rule’ is that it includes the Color Cube Club colorways.

Please share your progress in the Discord server or Ravelry group, and I’ll select participants throughout the year to receive their next club installment free or refunded!

To kick things off, let’s start by introducing ourselves in our online groups. Share a little about your crochet journey, which patterns are sparking your startitis, or perhaps what you're most looking forward to in this CAL. It's a wonderful chance to make new friends and maybe even discover a few crochet secrets along the way.

So grab your hooks (or needles), and let’s make 2026 a year filled with color, creativity, and camaraderie!

A Few Helpful Hints and Resources:

  • Most blanket patterns require a DK weight, but you can always hold a fingering weight double! I do this quite often! You should get close to the same number of squares either way.
  • Weigh the first square. This will help you determine how many you can get from a full skein of yarn.
  • Did you purchase a sock set? Use the mini as a border or incorporate it in the center of each square!
  • Mallory has loads of free patterns on her website: https://www.nautikrallcrochet.com/
    (She’s not affiliated, I’m just a fan-girl) ☺️
  • If you missed out on a monthly Color Cube Club, never fear! This year, each colorway will get its own dyed-to-order listing so you can order them at any time! You'll find them in the Yarn Club section of the website.

I'd love for you to tag me in your progress if you're posting to social media, too! I adore seeing what everyone is working on!
